Extracurricular

As early as 9th grade, my talents as a multimedia aficionado found the spotlight. In the years since, I’ve been asked to work on nearly every event known to the school, and though I’ve frequently had to decline – I simply haven’t the time – here’s a list of a few major successes.

CEPEO Health & Safety
In spring of 2008, the school board launched a new online campaign promoting safety in the workplace. I the year following, I produced a total of five videos which were displayed on their website and which can be found here.

Sports Gala Annual Video
Since the overwhelming success of the first video I produced with faculty several years ago, the school’s Gala Sportif introduction video has become a much-hyped, much-loved phenomenon of which I’m thrilled to be at the helm. This year’s event is scheduled for June 4th. For last year's video, click here.

DLS CEA 25th Anniversary
As part of the celebration for the 25th anniversary of the school's unique artistic excellence program, I was asked to provide conceptual 3D models and designs to assist redecorating projects being undertaken by other departments of the school, as well as video content.

Science Canada National Contest
In October of 2009, Science Canada launched a nationwide short film contest, asking how science was important to our everyday lives. With a group of classmates I produced a rap video in under a week, which went viral across the school board (gathering over than 700 views in four days) and went on to win first prize.

Privacy Commissioner of Canada – Video Competition
Another nationwide film competition, this time about the importance of online privacy. I placed third, and won $150.

Future Objectives

University
As graduation is still over a year away, I've yet to finalize any plans regarding post-secondary education. For now, I intend to apply internationally to Harvard, MIT, and a trio of Canadian universities yet to be determined. I'll likely be applying for early action in the fall of 2010.
